NTT DoCoMo, ACCA Networks End Joint Venture
January 25, 2008
NTT DoCoMo and ACCA Networks announced on January 21 that they have dissolved a joint venture formed in August last year. The joint venture was originally established in order to win one of the 2.5GHz wireless frequency band licenses issued by the Japanese government and start new data services.

However, these licenses were eventually given to KDDI and Willcom at the end of 2007. These companies now plan to start services in this frequency band in 2009.

After not obtaining a license, NTT DoCoMo and ACCA Networks decided to end their cooperation through the joint venture.
